Built in 1923-1925, this Gothic Revival-style skyscraper was designed by John Mead Howells and Raymond Hood for the Chicago Tribune, with this being the winning design of a competition held in 1922, which included submissions from multiple notable architects and a variety of architectural design philosophies.
