Built in 2017, this Contemporary building was designed by Foster + Partners to serve as the flagship Apple Store for Chicago. The building stands two stories tall, and is located at the south end of Pioneer Court, overlooking the Chicago River, on the site of the house of Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, the first non-indigenous resident of Chicago. The building features a thin, sleek roof supported on four internal columns, with a glass exterior, and an interior with tiered seating, a retail space on the lower floor, and a space for presentations and classes at the south end of the building.
