Fallingwater near Ohiopyle, PA, a national landmark (1937). It was designed for Edgar Kaufmann, Sr., who was president of Kaufmann's Department Store in Pittsburgh. His son, Edgar, Jr., was an aspiring architect and fan of Wright's work. Through junior, Wright was able to convince senior to build a house worthy of their store's successes. Wright allegedly drew the plans in two hours after learning of a suprise trip by senior to visit Wright in <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/teemu08/7399647482/">Taliesin</a>.
