Built in 1909-1910, this Prairie-style house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and resulted from a chance meeting between Rev. Jesse R. Zeigler and Frank Lloyd Wright while both were traveling to Europe in 1909, being the only house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the state of Kentucky, and being based on Wright’s “A Fireproof House for $5000” design. The house sits among a diverse mix of late 19th Century and early 20th Century houses, and, despite its small size, stands out for its unique cladding material and design.
