This view of Rodin's The Shade sculpture features the High Museum's Richard Meier building immediately behind it. The statue was given to the Woodruff Arts Center by the French Government in memory of the 122 Atlanta Art Association members killed in a plane crash at Paris-Orly Airport in June 1962. In the background to the left you can see portions of two of the three structures designed by the architect Renzo Piano and added to the High in 2005. Roy Lichtenstein's colorful House III is easy to spot. The Carroll Slater Sifly Piazza just behind it has become a rotating showcase for play struct
