Kop van Zuid. Wilhelminakade The workshop building was the last building built here for the Holland-America Line. It contained warehouses and workshops, such as a forge. On the ground floor there was a passage so trucks could drive in to load and unload. Internal transport was provided by three lifts, including a car lift with a lifting capacity of three tons. The building lost its function in the early nineties. Because of its solid construction, the building was suitable for redevelopment with a cultural function. Arch. Van den Broek and Bakema 1950-53.
