Gas Station, located in the city of Guaratinguetá, at Clube dos 500, km 60 of via Dutra. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, between 1951/1953, at the request of Orozimbo Roxo Loureiro, the creator of the Clube dos 500. The shape of the letter K of the 8 columns can be attributed to President Juscelino Kubitschek's surname of Czech origin. Niemeyer was JK's favorite architect, who, during his terms as mayor of Belo Horizonte (1940-1946) and governor of Minas Gerais (1951-1955), had commissioned Niemeyer for several projects, both for Diamantina, JK's hometown, and to Belo Horizonte.
