Baker House was the first building when I walked from Burton House to the main MIT buildings. It was built in 1949. I thought of it as the "sine wave" building, because of its unusual profile. I do not remenber whether others thought of it that way, or if it was my own fantasy. Memorial Drive is on the right, and the Charles River basin is on the other side.
