kirche christi auferstehung, köln-melaten, germany 1963-1970. architect: gottfried böhm, b.1920. corner window nestled between the concrete structure and brickwork. the one issue I have with this great building is that concrete and masonry appears interchangeable throughout. a structure/infill relationship would have made more sense but böhm seems in all his sixties buildings to be denying the lessons and tectonic clarity of his own earlier rationalist work.
