Completed in 2006, this Contemporary building was designed by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of SANAA to serve as an annex to the Toledo Museum of Art, known as the Glass Pavilion. Celebrating the heritage of Toledo as a major center of glass manufacturing and innovation, the building houses the museum’s collection of glass art, as well as a hot shop for the creation of glass art and objects. The building features a glass-clad exterior with a slim flat roof, curved interior walls and spaces, curved corners of the exterior facade, a sunken loading dock, and multiple glass-enclosed courtyards
