The Edwin H. Cheney House in the Frank Lloyd Wright-Prairie School of Architecture Historic District in Oak Park (1903). In 1903, Wright was commissioned to build a house for Oak Park native Edwin Cheney. Wright immediately fell in love with Cheney's wife Mamah, an early feminist. In 1909, Wright left his wife and children to tour Europe with Mamah, resulting in a scandal that tarnished Wright's reputation.
