The Paula Rego Museum (formally known as the "House of Stories Paula Rego") was built as a home to an extensive collection of works by Paula Rego and her late husband Victor Willig. Rego herself selected Eduardo Souto de Moura as the architect of the project. The museum, which opened in 2009, is located in the seaside town of Cascais, about an hour by commuter train from Lisbon.
