This is the initial approach to the memorial. The entire World Trade Center complex remains a busy construction zone, and the memorial is smack in the middle of it, surrounded by a number of buildings under construction. It is necessary to walk quite a bit of distance from the public entrance to the actual memorial. Along the way, timed entry tickets are collected, and a security check done. The full memorial, complete with a museum, will not be ready until 2012, but for the tenth anniversary on 11 September 2011, the waterfalls were unveiled, covering the footprint of the Twin Towers and surr
