The Moynihan Train Hall in Manhattan, New York City opened in January 2021. It is an expansion of Pennsylvania Station into the city's former main post office building, the James A. Farley Building, which was designed by McKim, Mead & White in the Beaux-Arts style and was a companion to the version of Penn Station which was demolished in 1963. The Hall is named after former Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who championed the re-use of the Farley Building. The project began to be considered in the early 1990s, but construction did not begin until 2017.‹›
